This particular item is a data field to use in a app. If you have it installed your pretty much there, you will need to configure an app to use the data screen, the instructions can be found on page 13…

FR235 error

hey i get this error on FR235 :
ERROR: Unhandled Exception

Why no Epix version?

The new data field relies on API calls that are available in the 1.2.6. SDK. Once the epix gets an update to it's CIQ VM version I will be glad to update the field to include the epix. Sorry I can't be of more help ... :(

when it will get support for something newer that 1.2.1? There were no updates since a year :/ Maybe people in garmin forgot that it exists?

I don't really know ... did you try getting Single Fun Field (non-epix specific) to run? It has most of the features of the new field and is better than the epix specific version? I know it isn't exactly what your looking for but might be an improvement if you have the epix only version.

Are you sure that Single Run Field or Single Field is the part failing? That isn't my store id, do you have other ConnectIQ fields loaded as well that might be the issue?

After the data field has been installed, it can be configured following these steps:

Select "Menu" > Activity Settings > Data Screens.
Select a screen.
If necessary, select Status > On to enable the data screen.
If necessary, edit the number of data fields.
Select a data field to change it.

This should be enough to get you on track, let me know if you can't figure it out.

Thanks for the advice. It turns out the number of data fields needed to be edited to 1 before I could select Single Run Field.

install on vivoactive

For the life of me I cannot figure out how to install this on the vivoactive. It is downloaded and on the watch but I can't find where to make it the primary data field. Settings just keeps putting me back in the 3 data field for the original setup. Its not as simple as the watchface where you just select your new face. What am I missing?

I'm not a vivoactive user, but on my watch, I had to select first a standard display with only 1 field. And then you can select this field as an IQ field.

The following steps should get you going:

Select the action key.
Select an activity. <== Select Run
NOTE: This feature is not available for all activities.
Select > Data Screens.
Select a screen.
If necessary, select the toggle switch to enable the data screen.
Select a data field to change it.

timer vs elapsed

Probably a silly question... but what's the difference on 'timer' vs. 'elapsed'? They both seem to just count up when I start the activity...
