  • Very very nice field! Thanks for making it available!

Could you add an option to change the background to black in the settings?

The 235s backlight is pretty crappy and white-on-black looks much better when running in the dark, and much better contrast.

    Thanks!

A similar fix was put in for the FR920XT since it also doesn't provide a background color option. I'll see what I can do when I finish some other project work.

    Many thanks for that.

Great app lcj2! Thanks for your time and sharing with all of us. I left a 5 star review because I love the app so much, but wanted to ask something and figured it would be better to post here than in a review.

How hard would it be to move the Clock field to bottom and GPS/Battery to top? The only reason I would like them swapped is because I like to put the watch on the data field while I'm warming up for 10-15 minutes. During this time I use the clock as time reference but Garmin clutters the entire top of screen with GPS, HR, Cadence ,Bluetooth and Battery icons that block the clock until I hit start. This is not a App flaw, it's just how the watch is designed. Also not a deal breaker, it's just something that would make it my perfect data field.

Also, one more thing. I like to x-train on my bike sometimes back to back. This app works great for the bike except instead of average pace I like average speed. Any chance you are making a separate bike app? I know pace can be changed to speed in your settings but I need to do it via computer. With a completely separate app I can have both installed on the watch using one for run and one for bike for easy switching.

    Thanks again!

    Possible bug on FR235?

Hi, I've used it today (great layout anyway) and when I was hitting the 6minute per km pace, the data was showing 5.60 (5 minutes and 60 seconds) instead of 6 min.
    Could you fix it?
    Thanks for the great work

Should be corrected now, hopefully that will work better.

I have noticed the issue on the device I have as well in the past but honestly didn't pay much attention to it. I will see if there is an easy way to add a setting to allow moving it around that will work well. This field has been out for quite a while and I am not too keen on a forced change for all the users who have grown used to seeing elements where they are. It is very important to me to be as consistent as possible when introducing new features or other changes. I will check it out but no promises.

I can appreciate the biking issues and have been thinking a little bit about this since for duathalon activities you can't change the field either during transitions reasonably. The main hesitation has been it is essentially the same field but there isn't a good way to determine the activity type and provide separate configuration options. I'll see what I can do.
  • +1 on moving the time down, for the above reason but also because it would likely be easier to read, right now I find it pretty much impossible to decipher it when I'm running, some bolding might help as well?
  • Also +1 for moving the time down to the bottom.

    Great app!
