Can the Epix users let me know if everything is working better after the last update or are you still getting the ConnectIQ logo with exclamation?

After update to Version 0.0.5 still can't change the background color or make any changes and i don't have any file GARMIN\APPS\LOGS\CIQ_LOG.TXT to send you. :cool:

I have tried one more thing to enable the user options on the 920XT. Can you try again and also double check that your running the 6.10 CIQ 1.2.1 enabled firmware? Also, can you confirm everything is working fine but that you just can't configure the settings?

If you are using windows can you check if your running Garmin Express for Windows v 4.1.10.0? There is a known bug that might be causing the issue. Also, there are some known things going on with Android Garmin Connect mobile based on forum threads I have been reading, are you using that as well?

I use 920xt with GE on android. At first changing field's property didn't change background to black.
Deleting the field from the watch and reinstalling it helped.

Is it possible that on Epix i dont have option to change black/white? Cant find this option.
Standard background is not white nor black. Is dimmed. Additionaly there are no borders between fields. It looks that background is in color of borders.

Issues Being Encountered

At this point I have verified that the code is in fact working as expected and got this checked from a trusted source. I think there are a couple issues occurring which are outside of my control and some have resolutions at this point. First, I would suggest deleting the data field and re-install this using Garmin Connect Mobile and then verify that it is in fact still not working without making customized changes. Once that is verified, look below at a couple of the outstanding issues before making changes and see if they apply to you:

1. Android Connect Mobile Users

The known issue on this platform has been corrected and the fix is known to work as indicated from testing and user comments above. If you delete and re-add the data field and still can't get the items to work as expected, post back here and we will see what else is possibly occurring. If it corrects your issue, please report that as well. Making changes here should work in the user settings and behave as expected.

2. Garmin Express for Windows (4.1.10.0) Users

The current version of Garmin Express for windows has a known bug which prevents the user settings from being set correctly. This is outside of my control. If you have successfully re-added the data field as requested above, do not make changes in Garmin Express on Windows for user settings at this time, please use Garmin Connect Mobile. If that is not working for you please report back here and also report if it now works when not using Garmin Express on Windows to install or manage the data field.

3. Epix

If after following the steps above and are on the Epix platform, please report back what you are seeing.


The Garmin CIQ capabilities underwent a large upgrade as well as the added feature set for the data field. I know it can be frustrating but once these issues are worked through I believe it will be worth the effort, thanks for helping and being patient!

Unfortunetly, problem on epix still occur. Black version (when general backgroud color for app is black) looks ok. Please remember, that previous version was working very good (version without colored HR).
Instaling from GCM, org GC doesent matter. I tried soft reset betwen instalations too. And various accent colours.

I want to make sure I am clearly understanding exactly what is going on here. Regardless of whether you choose black or white from the app settings, ignoring the missing divider lines and grey color, everything else is working correctly? Your getting data in the fields and the color is showing for HR and CAD fields? I am trying to isolate if the background detection is not working or more than that is broken.
