Description
ChromatiCron was designed to be elegant and clutter-free, showing only the essentials in an easy to read presentation. The minutes digits change color to keep you informed of your Move Bar status at a glance.

Features
Easy-to-read time of day (12/24 hour support).

Minutes digits change color to reflect status of your Move Bar:
  • White = Move Bar cleared.
  • Blue = Section 1 filled.
  • Light Yellow = Section 2 filled.
  • Yellow = Section 3 filled.
  • Orange = Section 4 filled.
  • Red = Move Bar full. Move!
  • Day of week, month, and date.

Graphical battery status (graphical or color of hours digits):
  • Green/Blue/White/Gray (configurable) = 51 - 100%
  • Yellow = 41 - 50%
  • Orange = 31 - 40%
  • Red = 0 - 30%

Daily step status:
  • Blue progress bar for your daily step goal. Turns green when you have reached your goal.
  • Steps countdown. Blue number shows how many steps to reach your goal. Green number shows how many steps taken beyond your goal.

Status icons:
  • Phone connected
  • Number of unread notifications
  • Tones enabled (not available on vivoactive)
  • Vibrate enabled
  • Watch alarm enabled (with count if more than 1 alarm set)

When you gesture to view the watch, it briefly shows:
  • Seconds, which form the colon between hour and minutes digits.
  • Items you have configured to show with Gesture (see below).

Sleep Mode presentation (if supported by device):
  • Black face with white time and date.
  • Light gray “zz” as colon between hours and minutes.
  • Battery status filled with light gray.
  • Gesture display options disabled.

Configuration Options
Use Garmin Express or the Garmin Connect Mobile app to configure these options:
  • Enable/disable status icons.
  • Show battery status as graphical icon or color of hours digits.
  • Select battery status color when charge is greater than 50%: Green, Blue, White, or Gray.
  • When to show battery charge percentage: Off, On, or Gesture.
  • When to show the daily steps progress bar: Off, On, or Gesture.
  • When to show the daily steps countdown: Off, On, or Gesture.
  • Color scheme for digits: Original or Light.

    Let's see if this works

Yes, I tried it 3 times always renaming the str file to match, but nothing.

Hrm. One more thing you can try (but may skip once you read more below): Select a different watch face, then copy over the .STR file, then go back to ChromatiCron again.

Regarding the " I am looking at my watch now " is there some trick to triggering this?

Great question. I can't make it happen every time I want to, but I have found that it usually helps to add a little down/up "bob" to my hand after rotating my wrist--like I'm exaggerating the gesture a little bit. <shrug>

The key for me is wanting to see my steps over anything else, if that could always show I could get by with the rest as is...

Okay, I have made a special build just for you that always shows the step progress bar and step number. It will still only update once per minute unless you successfully perform the "I'm looking at my watch" gesture. This is a work-in-progress that hopefully gives you what you want--or is at least close enough for now.

I recommend uninstalling the app store version of ChromatiCron before installing this build. This is for vivoactive ONLY!
    + Right-click and save CCRONRSR.prg to your vivoactive's GARMIN\APPS folder.
+ If you want to also enable the status icons, right-click and save CCRONRSR.STR to your vivoactive's GARMIN\APPS\DATA folder.

No need to re-name anything, since both the .PRG and .STR files have the same root name.

I'm working on support for more granular configuration of which items are shown (but will wait for SDK support for on-device configuration before publishing to the store). For example, I will also add an option that shows just the step number or just the progress bar when the watch is in "low power"/"update once-per-minute" mode.
  • Worked Awesome!

    Hi,

Thank you, that worked great! I really like the countdown of steps instead of the count up.
