Watch App: Gnome

Usage
Swipe left or right (or press the up/down buttons) to change tempo to the next preset. On a touchscreen, tapping the top/bottom of the screen will change the tempo in fine increments. The menu provides options including tone enable/disable (on supported devices), vibration enable/disable, tap tempo mode, and tempo presets.

If you're a string player, the vibration may be too subtle (gnomes don't hop well upside down or sideways), but try tightening your watch strap and wearing it on the bony part of your wrist. Pianists shouldn't have any problems feeling the beat, and may prefer a silent gnome to a chirping one.

Version History
0.21 Suppressed tempo presets during tap tempo mode
0.2 Added feature allowing user to tap a tempo
0.1 Initial release
  • most likely jumping the gun - isn't metronome already a feature on the watch? I remember it on my F3. But didn't like it cos the vibration is just too soft.
  • It's not a feature on my Vivoactive as far as I know, but even if one already exists on the Fenix 3, you may find this one somewhat unique. Thanks for the input.

Is it possible to use it while running? And can you use the data fields of heart rate/cadence etc when the metronome is active?
  • It hasn't been built for the Forerunner 235, but it may be possible to create a version that supports it. I don't think it could work while other activities are happening since I believe the watch inherently runs only one app at a time.
