Bug report subforums don't allow code blocks or inline code format in the comments

The lack of an inline code format is a minor nuisance, but the lack of code blocks is very annoying when you want to post code that contains a url, or tag-heavy code such as xml.

Since you can't put code in a code block, urls and xml tags will be subject to automatic mangling by the forum which at best means the code can't be used as is and at worst means that the original meaning of the code is lost.

This problem isn't helped by the fact that edits are not allowed to comments in the bug reports subforum.

I think this is an especially bad look for the Connect IQ Bug Reports forum.

Brandon.ConnectIQ It took me more than half an hour (after I had the comment written already) to be able to post this: https://forums.garmin.com/developer/connect-iq/f/discussion/294852/big-update-to-prettier-extension-monkeyc#pifragment-1298=110 I couldn't post the code, so I made a picture, but then I wasn't able to post the picture either (not sure, but maybe it was too big, however the error messages, as usual, are not helpful, so I'm not sure) at the end I had to cut the comment into 2 and post the picture separately... very annoying. If I wasn't a CIQ "psychopath" I would've leave it 20 minutes earlier...

Can I get some more context around this? I was able to post a code block in a reply to a bug report, and IT is able to as well. Is the option to include a code block completely missing (Insert > Code), or does it not work in some way? At the moment, we can't reproduce.

I am able to open the Insert > Code window, and paste there anything I want and edit it nicely. But sometimes (probably when some setting decides that the code is to big?) when I click OK, I get some badly formatted huge red error icon. I'll try to reproduce it now and send a screenshot...

Specifically yesterday after this I started to create a screenshot of the code and tried to post it as a picture, which probably was blocked because of the image size (but the error message is very general and not helpful), then I managed to shrink it, but still as png, and it still didn't work, then I converted to much smaller jpg and managed to post it.

I just tried to edit a comment here: forums.garmin.com/.../1896620 - added a tiny bit of code , and it now allowed me to click OK in the code editor, but then when I wanted to save the change (clicked the Reply button) I got this:

Actually it gives me the same even if I move the code out of the code block. So I had to add it as a reply in the nect comment, so you can see it's not a huge code block, just this:

I had to add the full comment as image (even that didn't work when I tried to upload the original png (82kb), but it let me when I converted it to jpg (even though it's 92kb)
