Temperature always 0 on Fenix3

I made a watch app for the Fenix3 but I cannot get temperature in the SensorInfo object. The code works fine in the simulator and reports various temperatures but not on the actual watch... The other sensors are working fine like altitude/speed on both the simulator and watch. Yet temperature is always 0 on the watch. Any ideas?

The stock temperature app on the watch does report temperature.

Are you setting the enabled sensor?

Sensor.setEnabledSensors( [Sensor.SENSOR_TEMPERATURE] );
Sensor.enableSensorEvents( method(:onSensor) );

Try using the Sensor sample app included with the SDK to see if it operates correctly for you.

Yeah its enabled along with all the other sensor types. The Sensor sample app is just heart rate. Heart rate works fine in my app as well, its just temperature that's problematic and only on the watch itself.

Is there any permission setting on the watch that would disable it? I guess my question is why does it work in the simulator but not the watch.

I'll do some testing here and see what I can find. I haven't encountered this issue yet, so I'll let you know if I am able to reproduce it.

Yes, I was able to reproduce this, and it looks like a bug to me. I've filed this for investigation.

This issue should be addressed as of Fenix 3 firmware version 3.30 (we're well past that at 4.50 now).
