1.1.1 Simulator will not run on OS X

I was able to run the v1 Connect IQ simulator without any issues on my Mac, however, I cannot get the version included with 1.1.1 to run. Double-clicking ConnectIQ.app in the bin directory just gives the error "The application "ConnectIQ.app" can't be opened. If I run connectiq via command line I get an error -10010.

Normally if you are missing permissions you can ctrl-click an app and it will give you the option to allow permissions but I get the same error when I open it that way.
  • I have it running via eclipse. It hangs sometime but still runs

I believe the Mac zip file for v1.1.1 may be missing some files, specifically in the 'bin' folder. I had the same problem when I updated to 1.1.1 that the simulator would not run -- though I don't recall if the error you mention was the same. I did a folder diff against the 1.1.0 SDK and noticed the discrepancy in files, so copied the orphans from 1.1.0 over to 1.1.1 and it fixed it for me. Of course, can't say that is truly the problem, but it worked in my case. Good luck.

I don't see an announcement about a new version, but today I tried to download the SDK again from the direct link (instead of through Eclipse like last time) and the download was for connectiq-sdk-mac-1-2. The simulator works on that version.
