From the SDK documentation PersistedLocations.persistLocation() will allow me to save the current location to the device's saved locations list, but how can I retrieve all saved locations so that I can, for example, display them in one of my app views?
Currently there is not a way to retrieve the device's saved locations. This is on our list of APIs to consider though.
Kyle sorry to freely express my frustration on here, but there are so many basic things missing from the Connect IQ API that effectively no app worth writing can be written. Given that many native hiking focused features were dropped from the fenix 3 compared to earlier fenix watches on the presumption that Connect IQ apps will replace them, i find it very unfortunate that Garmin choose to remove all these native features while knowing very well that all they can offer instead is a very immature and basic API.
Don't be sorry. We welcome all feedback, good and bad, and take all suggestions into consideration when planning new features. I don't have anything to add to Brandon's post about the fenix 3 features you're missing, but I've passed your post onto the fenix 3 team.
