I was reading a thread in the vivoactive forum today about the number of download per "thing" in the app store, and one user made a comment about the initial stability of some "things" when the vivoactive first came out (who knew about the 10 second revert timer for widgets until they saw one), and isn't downloading CIQ stuff.
The initial stability (need I mention :phoneConnected crash?) causde some "bad press" (in the forums) for CIQ stuff early on.
We could see a repeat, as there are a bunch of apps in the store that are marked to be there for the epix, and I've heard of anyone that has actually seen an Epix, so it's clear that most apps store things have never run on an actual Epix. Until the device is released and people have a bit of "hands on" with it, we as developers have no idea of any "uniqueness" of that device, and with publishing CIQ apps for the Epix day 1, it could leave a "bad taste in the mouth" for CIQ when people start getting them.
We all know of cases where the simulator does things differently from the real device (fonts with the vivoactive...), so is it wise to have Epix builds before anything (in CIQ level detail) is known about it?
