Same resolution. I have had my fenix 3 HR for over 3 years and had the same watch face, never had an issue. I downloaded the "Connect IQ App" maybe 3 weeks ago and downloaded a new watch face, have had issues with it ever since. tried all the troubleshooting above to no resolve. Just turned off Bluetooth, deleted the Connect IQ app and reconnected the Bluetooth. Everything appears to be functioning properly now. Appears to be a problem with the Connect IQ app, and not the watch faces themselves. Hope this helps others.
Have just given this a try and sounds promising. I recently received a replacement Fenix 3 from Garmin as the previous one would randomly reboot. Frustratingly the new device has been doing exactly the same. I did install a watch face and had the Connect IQ app installed on my phone. Not sure if it is tied to the same issue but my battery would also drain in the space of 1-2 days. This can be without logging any activities. The new device is also showing this symptom. I have a fenix 3, was working fine. Installed the new connect IQ app and the watch started restarting frequently. Didn't even install any new apps (just browsed on connect IQ). found this thread, uninstalled connect IQ app and hey presto watch is fine again. Running the latest firmware and using an iPhone.
Yep, today 5 May 2021, went to CONNECT IQ and 30 minutes later noticed my GARMIN FENIX 3 continuously rebooting. Turned of BLUETOOTH on the IPHONE and it stopped, been good for 45 minutes while it rebooted every 30 seconds..... Turned on BLUETOOTH again and hoppa there we go. I will remove CONNECT now from IPHONE and see how that fixes things.
