Possible update settings issue on Garmin Connect Mobile ios?

I've got 3 distinct reports yesterday that when editing settings from Garmin Connect Mobile the user is presented with a binary file when he tries to save the settings. (One of the reports is here: https://forums.garmin.com/forum/deve...08#post1457708 )

In the last two days if I attempt to change the Target Finish Time on the Race Pacer app, I am directed out of Connect on iOS to a web page. I make the setting change and then I am presented with a binary file to download. App is up to date - is it possible that this came in with the most recent update?

Having real difficulty getting this app set up. All installed okay however if I try to adjust the settings (distance, pace etc) as soon as I hit save I get the message 'Open outside Garmin Connect Mobile' When I select no nothing happens, when I select yes the settings screen opens in a browser window. I then make the same changes, hit save and I get a binary file to download?

I'm assuming it's a possible bug on the Garmin Connect Mobile (iOs version) side of things, as I don't have issues doing the send settings from my Android phone and the user that reported the issue was also able to update the settings through Garmin Express on his pc.

I did recently recompile both apps with the latest sdk (3.0.8) but beside adding support for the vivoactive 3 music lte I did no major changes to the apps

Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

    Come on Garmin, at a push, just update the version number of the previous version and re-release it - this is a PITA to have to continually go back to the Mac to do simple edits

    Same problem for me on my iphone. Get message "Open Outside Garmin Connect" and unable to save. Garmin Connect App 4.15.1.2 and iOS 12.1.4

    Hi, I have exactly the same issue. I have a Tactix Charlie, which, prior to the last app update, worked perfectly and allowed me to make adjustments on the fly. I chose a Charlie for my job and having the ability to alter settings and apps on the go is critical. I do not have the space to carry my MacBook around! Please remedy this asap.

    I have the same issue, iPhone X, just got it last week. Fully updated to 12.1.4 (16D57). Very sad...
  • Sorry if it wasn't clear. I wanted to make sure that everyone is aware, we do know that it's in the iOS Garmin Connect app. Thank you for seeking clarification. It has been reported and is being looked at by the proper teams.

    Why not simply re-release the previous version as a stopgap - it's a PITA having to use a pc to do simple changes

    It's been a few days - this is a little slow in fixing a bug which has a pretty big impact on using the device!

    Like this person said!... It would be good to understand why a basic bug such as this happened. Most of us are IRL developers so we understand bugs happen, but this seems like one that should never happen, so please can we at least get some kind of transparency why this has happened?

    And like AJRykala said, this is way too slow. I have iOS apps on the store, and if I found a bug like this it would be a same day fix and release to Apple. But I also know they can be slow approving a release
    So maybe some explanation why it's taking so long, or if you've in-fact already sent them a version and they're approving it?
