Show day of week and battery status as procent and icon

Hi

I am a beginner in monkey c programming and I am trying to build my first watch face, with time, date, week of day, battery icon + procent
but I can't find out how to show day of week, and I can only show the battery procent and not an icon like the icon in the standard digital watch face,
any ony who can point me in the right direction ?

For day of week look at the code of the analog sample shipped with the sdk.
You have to build an battery Icon on your own. For example use two
different colored rectangles, drawn at the same position, the upper one
with a shorter length corresponding to bat percentage.
