CIQ store: once again stuck in endless edit loop after app update

The forum seemingly ate my previous post with no warning or error, so I am reposting it. Perhaps it didn't like my store URL, so just search for "Run Power" in the store.

EDIT: of course, now that I've posted this, the previous post magically appeared. Perfect. Well, here's the store URL:

Once again, I am stuck in an endless edit-CAPTCHA loop after submitting a new version of my app. Even without making any changes, the store just kicks me back to the edit page after I press Submit and answer the CAPTCHA.

And any changes I do make are helpfully erased without warning. It's gotten so that I save my edits in a separate text file before submitting anything to the store. Just another normal part of my workflow in the Garmin ecosystem.

Even though my Description and What's New may technically be over 4000 "characters" (if you count bytes instead of UTF-8 chars), the store accepted them before. Nonetheless, I would like to update the "What's New" and upload a new screenshot, but I just can't.

Would it be possible for...
...the store to always display an error message when it doesn't like the content?
...the store to reject content before forcing the user to solve a CAPTCHA?
...the store to not reject content it previously accepted? This seems to be a cardinal rule of UI/UX to me, but who knows?

And of course if there's some other reason that the edit is not going through, could that be fixed at some point?

Honestly, I am sick of the endless CAPTCHAs, and forum/store issues. I have considered quitting the community as a user and dev countless times because of this. I'm just some rando with zero value to Garmin, but there has to be a point where enough people are annoyed that this is a problem.

EDIT: The problem was once again resolved by editing the store description in an incognito tab. Doesn't make this problem any less annoying.
EDIT2: Nope, I lied. I was able to change screenshots but not add text to What's New. There is still no error message. I tried closing all incognito tabs/windows and starting over, but it did not work.
EDIT3: Finally able to update the description by using a completely different browser.

Yes I know I could clear cookies/cache, but it's just another workaround that goes with using the Garmin forum/store, such as saving a copy of the original BBCODE for any post with links/code/images that I want to edit later.

Plus there's also the forum bug where edits to my showcase first post aren't showing up for logged-in users, so most people can't see what's new there, either.

It's almost as if there's a plan to actively discourage participation.

    I hear your woes! You are not alone. I'm letting the store team know about your issues with Captcha. We recently made some changes in our servers that we are...figuring out...When it comes to forum software, I can't really say much, but I can say that we have been pushing super hard to work out better solutions for our developer community. All that to say, we know it sucks and we're not intentionally trying to discourage.

    If it helps, I think it might have something to do with being logged onto the forums and the store at the same time. I noticed that logging on to the forum seems to invalidate your store session, even if you log in with the same Garmin userid.

    Except that's happening to me with a different app, on a different browser with no forum login now.... Maybe once it's in that state, it propagates to every subsequent login until the dev just gives up and curls into a ball. (Nah, that would never happen.)

    Of course I know that I can just close the tab without editing any details...I think that's also part of the problem. If you upload a new version and don't submit the edit page, then it's almost like your app gets in a funny state in the store.
    EDIT: I think that's ^ just baseless speculation....

    I was able to update the What's New, but not the screenshots.

    On a side note, if you update screenshots, you have to upload them in reverse order. The first one is displayed last. This also means that you can't update just one screenshot without upsetting the current order. You have to upload all your screenshots (in reverse order). It's not a big deal, especially with the auto-scroll, but I like a certain representative screenshot to be the first one.
  • Some information that might be helpful:

    I think it has something to do with having too many attached images (even if you didn't change them). I had five images and I couldn't submit, but when I removed one of them, it started to work.

  • FlowState, The store team is wanting to know if this is still happening for you. They think they've changed a few things to get you access. Please let me know if this hasn't fixed ti.

    I haven't seen the problem in a while, but I haven't updated some of the problem apps in a while, either. I just tried editing the description on an app that has 5 attached images (which I thought was part of the problem), and it seems to be fine. I also updated the app linked the OP and it seems to work.

    I'll let you know if it recurs, but I've got my fingers crossed.
