From reading through the docs and looking at the app types, I can see that swimming (particularly pool swimming) is a little more complicated. Presumably to be able to guide the user in some way through their swim, I'd need to create an app which would mean starting the fit file recording as part of the logic there. I guess I would need to prompt for the pool length as part of that as that's normally taken care of via the watch interface. That pool length would then need to be one of the parameters supplied when starting the fit recording?
Anyway, great to hear swimming is not being forgotten!:D
