Is there any way to get at RR intervals from a heart rate monitor? (though I'm not quite sure how it would work with the 1Hz callback) - or is the only way to muck about with ANT channels directly?
The Activity Info and Sensor callbacks are designed to provide the basic stats displayed by our devices at a 1Hz rate. There are no plans to provide the RR intervals in these modules at this time. It will be possible for apps to connect directly to a ANT+ heart rate sensor to receive this data.
Does that mean 2 ant+ channels would be used up connecting to the HR strap? The one used internally by garmin and one raw one handled by the app. Which also means it may not be as straight forward to use the already paired strap automatically. Or will there be functionally to get the raw ant+ data of already paired ant+ devices?
I'm not saying for how it is implemented now, but the for the end design goal.
