OS X: Simulator is blank, "Failed to connect to the simulator."

Hello, something happened (it might have been upgdate to OS X Mojave?) and now the simulator starts blank (with no watch), with only a red dot in bottom right corner.

When I try to run the app in simulator, this appears in console:

BUILD: Complete
Failed to connect to the simulator.

I tried uninstalling eclipse, deleting garmin sdk and deleting ~/.eclipse folder with preferences, and installing eclipse + SDK 3.0.4 again, but the result is the same.

Any advice? Is there a SDK log file I could watch for errors? community.garmin.com/.../1426367.png
  • HI,

SDK 3.0.5 was released yesterday! There were changes in 3.0.5 specifically addressing mac issues, so this might have been fixed. Download 3.0.5 and hopefully that is all that is necessary to get you running again. If you run into the same issue after using 3.0.5, please comment some more info such as...

What device are you trying to simulate?
Is it happening on multiple devices or just a specific one?
Are only apps not working? or watch faces/widgets/data fields also?

and anything else that might be usefull. The more info the better.

    Thanks
  • Hi, I found out I need to restart whole computer to fix this - killing Eclipse and simulator isn't enough. It has happened multiple times so far, I'll try the update - thanks!
