Smartthings questions

Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me out with this. I have connected the Smart Things by Garmin widget to my Connect app. The widget loads on my Fenix 5 plus. However, it asks for "routines" and the new Smart Things app only has "Automations." I'm guessing that automations are essentially "routines." I want to be able to control things like turning off all my downstairs lights, etc through the watch. Unforutnately it seems like "automations" are just that - not manual but instead prompted by either a time alert, location alert, etc. I have tried building "scenes" within the Smart Things app, but those don't appear to flow over to the watch. Any assistance would be great.

Use the smarthings classic app :-)

Automations show up as routines in the widget.

So I have automations for "Office Light On" and "Office Light Off" and trigger those from the widget to control the light in the office.

Yes. There are a few things here. The Smartthings app was built with/on the Smartthings Classic API. It sounds like there are some workarounds and some cross functionality, but the most sure fire thing is using the classic app. It will need to be updated with the new APIs in order to fully expand the functionality.
