How do you get the current Stryd power value for a data field?

You are correct in your assumption that the Activity.Info class will provide the power data from Garmin. In order to receive information from the Stryd sensor, you will need to use the Ant APIs to communicate directly with the sensor: https://developer.garmin.com/downloa...oybox/Ant.html

Update: See the post by peterdedecker below for correct information.

I am pretty sure I have read somewhere that power in Activity.power contains stryd power if your watch is compatible with cycling powermeters (fenix 3, 5, 735, 935, not sure if I am missing any).
if you have one of these watches, just test it.

there's no need for going into ANT and it would actually crash if you have both the stryd field and your field listening on the same channel.

Ah sweet - so if I've understood you correctly, once I have the Stryd connected as a power meter and the Stryd field installed and recording power (which I do), then Activity.Info.currentPower is actually going to show the power value from the Stryd, not the power estimated by the watch itself?

That makes sense, and makes things a lot easier - I had given up on the ANT APIs anyway - couldn't fathom how to use them to integrate with the Stryd at all, so hopefully this approach will work. thanks for your help!
