API request: Specify a seconds rect, and a second style for watchfaces

I love that idea that you can make watch faces with connect iq, but it is a deal breaker that you can't have seconds updated unless you are looking at the watch.

It would be great if you could tell the system where the second's rect would exist and let the system update that using the built in low power operations that the default watch faces do already.

For digital it's easy, specify a rect. For analog, it would be trickier. You would have to have a screen buffer and clear the screen using that buffer before drawing.

On the upside, if such a method existed then the digital rect could have a background and have it preserved while the system updated the seconds.

Very good idea! (y) We have low powered second hand in ciq watchfaces!
    Aha, flashing dots too ;)

And one more thing: we can prepare animated GIF with 60 frames and transparency, and compiler prepare low energy version and API just show next frame per second!
