How can I import a project into Eclipse?

Hi,

I have a source code from a watch face I made in a previous Windows installation (Win10/ Eclipse Mars) and I try to import it in a new desktop (Win10/ Eclipse Oxygen). Although the import process works without any issues, the project is not recognised as GIQ one, the IQ little icon is missing from the top right corner.

Is there something that I can do to convert it to GIQ project?

Not sure what's happening, but maybe use eclipse to create a new CIQ project and replaces what's there with what was in your old one?

Thank you for that, I'm not really familiar with Eclipse, so I thought I could keep this idea of creating a new project and copying the source files from the previous project as a fallback plan.

Did you copy the .project file and .settings directory? If memory serves me correctly, if you do not copy those files over, or at least the .project file it does not get recognised as a CIQ project.

Yes, the .project file and .settings directory are there. I just copied the whole folder from one desktop to the other.community.garmin.com/.../1308445.png

And you have the CIQ plugin installed in Eclipse on the new desktop?

Yes, and the simulator is running and everything seems to work ok if I try to create a new CIQ project.

I don't know if this has to do with Eclipse or something else. The structure of manifest.xml seems the same, although the version has changed to 3 (it was 1 on the 'old' project) and the mention about minSdkVersion="2.4.0" on the newly created project.community.garmin.com/.../1308606.png

Sorry, I'm out of ideas. I'd do as Jim says, try copying the source files into a new project and comparing the differences. Maybe import another project to see if it is unique to this one. I have not had any problems importing projects when I have loaded new eclipse versions or moved things to an alternate PC.

Just out of curiosity, which package of Eclipse do you use and how exactly do you do the import? Maybe this is my issue.

I use Oxygen.2 on win 10, and to import, File>import in Eclipse, and "existing Projects into workspace" (and I used the same since Eclipse Luna)

The same steps I was using as well. I also tried to copy the source files, which also failed. So I guess I have to start from scratch.
