Source of standard images

Hi.
I've seen a lot of watchfaces with the same icons (BT, notification, alarm, steps, floors, calories, sunset, sunrise etc.). Is there something like 'standard icon pack' or embedded images? It's hard to believe that every dev looks for images on internet and picks exactly the same as others.

There's really no "standard icons", in fact how icons are done isn't standard. Some people use images, and some use a custom font. You might be able to find some apps with source code and use what they us though.

I myself, have a custom icon font. It's a bit more flexible in that you can change their colors in the same way you change the color of any font, and not need a separate image for each possible color.

(to output a bluetooth icon in blue, I'd just use

dc.setColor(Gfx.COLOR_BLUE,Gfx.COLOR_TRANSPARENT)
dc.drawText(x,y,iconFont,"P",Gfx.TEXT_JUSTIFY_CENTER);

for example)

Can you please describe, how you use Awesome Font with the Garmin watches?
(I tried to use them in the Bitmap font generator, without success)

It is not so heavy make your own font. I am using the Type light 3.2 program. community.garmin.com/.../1289744.png

@peterdecker: I knew that video, but I do not know how to do it with Awesome fonts!
I selected "Font Awesome 5 Free Solid" in the Bitmap Font generator.
But then.... I wanted to usea HeartBeat icon.
- what do I have to select, it looks weared!
- what do I have to write in the code at place of "P" for an icon in:
dc.drawText(x,y,iconFont,"P",Gfx.TEXT_JUSTIFY_CENTER);

Is there any chance that Garmin could share their Icons( vectors or bmp ) so we could have the possibility of having something more uniform through the ecosystem?

There might be an easier way for this but what I do is after I export the characters from the font file I want with bmfont then I edit the <fontname>.fnt file and change the character representation by the ascii code I want for that specific symbol, a lookup table for ascii codes can be found here: http://www.theasciicode.com.ar/
