Get heart rate and power zones

Hello:

I'm trying to use UserProfile::getHeartRateZones() for an Edge 520 DataField project. The Edge 520 has three posibilities to set heart rate zones, i.e., puth the heart rate directly, as a percentage for the maximum heart rate and as a percentage of reserve heart rate (Karvonen formula). Which data is obtained via UserProfile::getHeartRateZones()? The API documentation says that an array with 6 values is returned, but which 6 values? If the % of reserve or % of max HR heart rate is configured, is the array of data the correspondent one?

On the other hand, I can't found a mathod to get the power zones, that can be configured in the Edge 520. Is there such method in the SDK?

The return array of the getHeartRateZones() API is documented here:

As listed there, it contains the "current heart rate zone threshold values in beats per minute (bpm)"

There is not currently an API that provides power zones.

Yes, I've seen the API documentation, but my question is about if the returned array contains the values correspondent to the limits imposed in the configuration directly in the option of beats per minute, the ones computed as a % referred to the HR max or the ones computed as a % referred to the reserve HR (Karvonen formula), depending on the configuration chosen by the user.

The API always returns bpm as documented. It does not depend on the format the used to input their zones.

Yes, but my question is about this array is the correspondent to the format configured by the user, i.e., if I configure the zones as % of reserve HR, are the data in the array the bpm values correspondent to the configured zones?

Sorry I was not understanding your question.

Yes, the values are always the values that the user has configured. The %max and %reserve only serve as alternate ways to input your zones they are always converted and saved by the device as bpm.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread but I was having the same question as jgpallero.
I understand from Former Member answer that when we use the getHeartRateZones to retrieve the HR zone thresholds from the user profile there is no way to tell if this values where manually entered by the user, calculated using %HRMax or %HRReserve (Karvonen's formula).

Am I correct?
