activityInfo.isSleepMode

How do you put the vivo active into activityInfo.isSleepMode?

Not in the simulator....?

Sleep mode can be entered on the VivoActive by navigating to the built in activity tracking widget, pressing the menu button, and selecting "Start Sleep"

Unfortunately, it would appear the custom watch face is not loaded when the device is in sleep mode. I've reported this issue to the product team.

I had to remove the activity tracking widget as it would should (instead of my custom watch face) when it alerted me to move. With it deleted now I get a little notification appear in a bar at the top of my custom watch face telling me to move. MUCH BETTER.

    So...

    1) We need a way to select sleep mode from a custom watch face (without the activity tracker installed)
    2) We need the state to change based on the preset sleep times (perhaps...)

At the moment the issleepmode status just doesn't work.
  • Brian, as a side note, when you are doing something like a "run", you can press the screen and get to the clock and then swipe to access something like the music control, but there too, the default watchface is used, and not the currently selected CIQ watchface.

    1) The inputs are restricted on the main watch face by design, so it is unlikely there will be a way to access it directly as on other products (but not impossible). There should definitely be a way to access sleep mode if the tracking widget is disabled. I've reported that issue to the product team as well.

    2) None of our products change the sleep mode state unless it is explicitly selected, so this is unlikely to change.

There is not enough memory available to load a ConnectIQ watch face during an activity. This is by design.

So, this is also why when you manually enter sleep mode on the device, it also uses the default watch face I guess..

No that is just the way it works right now. There isn't anything about sleep mode that uses large amounts of memory. I think it is likely the sleep mode thing will change, but it isn't a guarantee.
