TextPicker on Vivoactive 3

Is the TextPicker available on the Vivoactive 3?

The documentation says that it is supported by all devices except Approach S60 / vivoactive / vivoactive HR, but I'm guessing it is just not updated (as it has been "claimed" that the Vivoactive 3 and the Approach S60 are compatible devices).

There's no text picker on the va3.

This is something that you can detect at runtime with the has operator.

That said, feature support for devices is currently baked into the documentation. This isn't ideal because the documentation must be revisited when new devices are added or support is enabled for an existing device. We should be able to do better here. I've added a note to bring this up with the team so we can evaluate potential solutions.

If you want to add a TextPicker to the vivoactive 3, you could use the TextPicker from the libraries section of my GitHub repo -- https://github.com/douglasr/connectiq-samples -- it's basically a replication of the built in fenix 3 picker, but with a bit more flexibility.

You'll likely have to update it slightly to better support the single button/touch screen of the va3 but it should give you a good headstart. It's licensed with the MIT License so you're good to modify and use as you see fit.

Thanks for the answers.

I tried to reuse my own "touch keypad" that I created a while ago for the Vivoactive HR. It seems to work on the Vivoactive 3 according to the simulator. Could someone with a real Vivoactive 3 test it, please? I'd appreciate a lot to hear some feeback about if it works and/or how it feels (e.g. are the "keys" too small?)
