I too am having similar issue w/high sierra and my Garmin 1000. I tied everything trying to upgrade from 14.30 to 14.40 w/no luck. I also see where the micro SD and standard volumes mount, then disappear, and the pop-up that neither volume was ejected properly. Installed Garmin Express on another Mac that I haven't upgraded yet, and it upgrade to 14.40 automatically with no effort at all.
I'm using: - High Sierra 10.13.3 - Eclipse Version: Oxygen.2 Release (4.7.2), Build id: 20171218-0600 - Garmin IQ 2.4.2 - Java JRE 8u151 64bit
The issue of the App Settings Editor has become even worse for me on the Mac. On Windows its not an issue. On the Mac the App Settings Editor hangs as soon as I push a settings update to the simulator and after that it hangs indefinitely. I think this is an issue with the App Settings Editor on the Mac not able to accept a certain number of entries in the settings file. As soon as it reaches a certain threshold it just hangs. Sure would be good if worked as well as it does on Windows.
So it's not JUST my machine then!? GARMIN can this be looked in to? I think Simon is right about it being due to a large number of settings. As soon as I remove some its OK but that is not a solution. thank you!
I've been doing some more work on trying to reproduce this one. Can you pinpoint an amount of properties and/or types of properties you are using that triggers your issue. I've been trying different combos on my mac and I'm not getting any issues. Thanks in advance for any more info.
I've experienced the more properties I have, the slower the reaction time of the settings editor. It sometimes takes 1 minute before it returns control. I'm guessing there is a certain threshold of number of properties (which I probably haven't encountered) where it may hang indefinitely as reported by others.
