Still happening. Any idea why? Or how to diagnose? Are there logs I can check?
HELP!
Version: Oxygen.1 Release (4.7.1)
Build id: 20170914-1200
It doesn't do it with other apps, just one my watch face app. It builds and runs fine. When I click save settings I don't see the progress bar, it just gives a spinning wheel then eclipse locks up. Interestingly it does update the setting as the simulator changes accordingly.
Doesn't happen on Windows so its not the project.
Also a user has reported the conect app crashes if they try and update.
As I mentioned in the second thread, I usually edit the settings XML to have a single entry, revisit the settings window, then restore the XML again. That seems to fix the issue for me on High Sierra.
I haven't tried to reproduce this (yet), but it sounds like maybe one of the settings resources is causing a problem. Could you try to isolate which setting (or combination of) settings that is causing the problem? If you cut out half and the problem remains, cut it in half again. If the problem goes away, put the half you removed back and cut out the other half. Repeat until you know which setting is the problem.
If you don't get to it before tomorrow evening, I will have some time to look into this then. I need something to do while on the long flight home.. :)
My iMac's High Sierra 10.13 seems to have also messed up proper unmounting of both my GPSMAP 62st and 64st. Using either of the usual click of the eject icon or rt-click of the volume name... The installed micro SD card volume re-mounts immediately and the GARMIN volume also re-mounts immediately but as a file icon that then complains that it doesn't contain data. Then, of course, the pop-up that neither volume was ejected properly.
Coleman and I don't yet have High Sierra on our machines yet, so we're not able to verify this. It sounds like Travis does, so let's see whether he's able to make any headway. If not, we'll figure something else out. :)
EDIT: It turns out we don't have High Sierra available to us yet, so we won't be able to test this right now. I'll see whether we can get a machine upgraded so we can start checking HS-related problem reports. If anyone else experiences an issue similar to ruperthawkes, please post back here.
I dont think it's one particular setting as they were all there prior to the sirerra upgrade. Plus it works on Windows. I think it might just be the sheer number / size and something in the app settings editor code that passes whatever it's passing to the simulator is causing it to freeze.
