Datafield removed from data screen when updated in IQ store

Hello,

currently developing my second datafield and I noticed the following behaviour:

Whenever I upload a new version of the datafield to IQ store (currently set as Beta in IQ) and when I then update the datafield in Connect on my mobile phone, the datafield is removed from all data screens of all apps on my vaHR where it was set to run.
I then have to reassign in all apps.

Is this normal behaviour or is there something wrong?
The datafield has it's own settings, btw.

When you do an "update" from your phone, it's basically doing something like an uninstall/reinstall so you lose settings, etc.

The key is to use Garmin Express to get app updates right now. If you're set to auto-update app, you get the latest version when you sync with GE and don't lose settings.

Well, it looks like beta versions can't be updated via express?

I use Express V5.7.0.0 on OS X 10.11.6
Auto-update is checked in settings.
When syncing/updating the datafield is not being updated.
