Fit recording with fenix5x causes the file to be seen as invalid by garmin express

I think this has been reported before, but I seem not able to find the bug report using the search function of the forum. (In case this is a new bug report I can provide the sample project to your email address in order to reproduce it)

I got the following report from a user of my "Fat Burner" data field.

Hi Peter,
Something strange using your data field - the same on Fenix 5x and on Fenix Chronos ...
Adding it to - any - app it seems to work fine. I can find the record in the fit file.
But synchronisation does not (!) work using a (windows) computer and USB drive.
As long as there is any fit file with done with your app, it won't finish.
Deleting those files from the computer (and the watch) it works fine again.
The strange thing is, that synchronisation is no problem using wlan or bluetooth connection to the mobile ...
If I disable recording to the fit file the problem is gone.
Any idea what could be wrong?

* Record a session on fenix 5x or fenix chronos with the Fat Burner data field
* Try to upload the file using garmin express.
  • you can close the issue, seems not to be happening any more.

    Whatever happened (the problem ended up on both watches Fenix 5x and Chronos)
    I did delete all activities to get all working again.
    Did now delete the app from the watches - and reinstalled.
    Record looked fine and did synchronize ...
    Will try further on the next days and let you know if the problem comes back.
