Auto Lap triggering in IQ

Hi,

Sorry, been away for a while, so apologies if this has been picked up (but I can't find any reference).

I've started to have a number of Users contact me saying my App is inserting a Lap Marker every mile, also even if they are set to metric (so 1.6km). I've checked the code on a very established App, and I only call addLap() when transitioning (on a Triathlon App) so there is no way I can be generating this.

Any idea on is this?

Which device and what FW? There was a problem with this on the 735 a while back if I recall.

Thanks Jim. I've checked the cases, and the users seem to be on the Vivoactive HR

3.90 FW? Which sport? 1.6km=1mile. Do they have auto-lap set on for "run", but have it set for 1.6km?

I indeed reported an issue about this on the 735xt a while ago, it was fixed on that device (the resolution was to disable the autolap function for ciq apps, you can not do that, the device team needs to implement it).

To have it fixed on the vivoactive hr you will have to file a new bug report as the vivoactive hr device team needs to implement this fix.

A workaround is to create a session that is not of type running or biking.

I added a post in the bug report Peter mentioned, after reproducing this on a va-hr with 3.90 FW, while recording a walk with a ciq watch-app.
