Okay, it's quite keen to call this a bug - maybe it's a feature request - so please forgive me ... 8-| ...but I am unsure about that (and found no seperate thread for requests ;))
Allow reading user settings, waypoint details etc.
I believe, a lot of great apps could be done by accessing (read only) some more information, like... o name and detailed type of the activity (not only 'Other' but 'Walking', 'Hiking' etc.) o actual virtual partner pace (could be nice for creating data fields) o activity summaries, records etc. o waypoint coordinates, symbols of the location favorites etc. o and so on...
Eventually a new permission 'UserInformation' needs to be invented then.
I am not sure, why an app is allowed to fill the devices memory by generation tons of new waypoints but on the other hand there's no chance to get details for the saved waypoints. The user data should be secure? Okay, add a private/public flag to all wayoints and the user is able to set the privacy for each waypoint...
