Cannot manage Apps from Garmin Express

Hi,

i am having problems managing my Fenix 3 (w/o HR) apps, either via Connect or Garmin Express. The Connect crashes completely, and the Garmin Express just opens a blank page on the app.

I need to register a watch face that i wanna buy and i cannot access it via any tool.

Any ideas on how to approach this?

    Rokenom, I recently posted a very similar question. When I go into Garmin Express to "manage" my Fenix 3 HR, I'll click "Manage Apps" in the Connect IQ | Apps section which will appears to be working on connecting to my watch and only the end result is nothing - just a blank screen. You're not the only one having the issue but so far no one has responded. Garmin Help Desk agents "never heard of this problem". So, it's just us. Next thing you'll know my altimeter will be inaccur...oh, disregard.

    Hey rokenom,

    Can you give us any other information? Are you able to sync your data correctly otherwise? Does the fenix 3 show up as the device you used to record activities when you view them in connect? If I can get some more detail or something to reproduce this I will be able to move forward.

    I have the same issue with latest software of Garmin Express and Fenix 3 HR watch.

    I get a blank screen when I click on manage apps (I just get the "Shop the Connect IQ store..." message.

    I've tried linking two different fenix 3 devices today and haven't been able to reproduce this. Is there any other info to go on?

    I have the following
    - Garmin Express 5.5.0.0 (latest version)
    - Fenix 3 HR Software version 4.3
    - Windows 10

    I have no issue using my ipad with the Garmin Connect software.

    To Coleman (MOD), I posted the topic a while back, everything is up to date, on two different platforms/computers:

    For months I've been experiencing issues with not being able to use the Manage Apps feature within Garmin Express. It used to work when I first bought my watch about 4 months ago but about 2 months ago it stopped. I assumed it had something to do with an update so I have been patiently waiting for it to be fixed. Originally, I was the only one experiencing it (no results in the forums, now others are having the same issue and reporting it).

    As most of you know, you can access the applications on your watch via the Garmin Express, using the Manage Apps button. When I click it, it looks like it's syncing and going to connect to the watch and then nothing. It's a blank screen, with the screen text of "Shop the Connect IQ Store for custom applications for your device". I recently updated to V 5.5.0, thinking that would fix the issue and it didn't. So I went to another computer that was recently re-imaged and has no anti-virus software/no firewall. It only has Windows 10 and nothing else, period. I downloaded a fresh version of Garmin Express and it still doesn't connect with my watch (which may imply it's my watch, but I'm now not sure since others are having the same problem).

    My main computer, which used to be able to connect with my watch, runs Windows 7 (fully patched and up-to-date). It has the latest version of GE and the watch as software V 4.30. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the desktop software (that didn't work).

    The only thing I haven't is resetting my watch. I really don't want to do that unless it's imperative.

    To Coleman (MOD): Repeating the pattern:

    I have the following

    - Garmin Express 5.5.0.0 (latest version, 5.6.1.0 just popped-up to be installed - so...maybe this is the winner-winner!)
    - Installed and beckoning me to Launch the New Garmin Express V5.6.1.0!
    - I launched the new application and it sync'd. So far, so good.
    - Clicked "Manage Apps" and then....nothing. Same result. Damn.

    - Fenix 3 HR Software version 4.3
    - Windows 10 (brand new, refreshed, no software other than Garmin Express)
    - Windows 7 (Original computer that used to work great)

    I've had the same issues on my W10 machine. Fenix3HR v 4.30 Garmin Express 5.6.1.0. Empty window shows up. Then moved it to my old IMAC and then I can manage my APPS.
    Garmin Express recently updated.
  • I too am having the same issue. No apps show up in Garmin Express manage apps screen. I've tried this on 3 different computers. I have latest Garmin Express and Fenix 3 watch software is updated with all software. data sync works fine. this used to work months ago on this computer but hasn't worked for months. I extensively worked with Chris Schatz at Garmin's software help desk and got nowhere. any other suggestions?
