There really hasn't been much said about this (I think Garmin is still working some of it out) since it was announced. The impression I got at the Summit was that it may be more for the larger partner type apps, that can build the background parts needed, and not so much for most small developers. Most folks will still use the "if you want an unlock code, send $1 to my paypal account", and not the trial mode, I think.

As of right now, this feature is limited. The appropriate approval process noted would need to be done through a partnership with the business development side of our team. I apologize that the info provided was so vague. If you click on the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page, you can begin the process through the official channels.
