How accurately does the simulator represent fonts?

I am extending my app's platforms from the VA-HR to fx5/q5 but unfortunately don't have those watches to test on, so am restricted to the simulator to test the developments.
I'm using the UX guide to which defines the same "Font Size" of FONT_NUMBER_MILD for both platforms but in the simulator they appear to be very different sizes.

fx5/ q5
Chronos Semibold
26

VA-HR
Bebas Neue
31

In the simulator, the VA-HR numbers are 21 px high whereas the fx5/q5 fonts are 26 px high.
And Graphics.getFontHeight(Graphics.FONT_NUMBER_MILD) on the VA-HR returns 31

So I'm struggling to relate the "Font Size" in the UX guide to what I'm seeing in the sim and I guess my question is:

Can I rely on the sim to accurately represent the fonts for the fx5/q5 platform?
  • You can trust the sim. With the difference in the UX guide for the va-hr, you may want to see if it's correct in 2.3.1, as it could be a typo in the version of the UX guide you're using.
  • oops, sorry

In the simulator, the VA-HR numbers are 21 px high whereas the fx5/q5 fonts are 26 px high.

Looking more closely, I find that the error is with me, not the UX guide.
I was quoting FONT_NUMBER_MILD, but I was in fact using FONT_SYSTEM_MILD - which I coded by mistake, and which appears in the API docs but not in the UX guide so doesn't appear to be specified.
    So, once again, oops, sorry!
