How to detect pressed buttons...

I wrote an app where it was easily possible to detect the 'start/stop' and the 'back' button, now I changed the manifest to create a widget where the 'back' button seems to be ignored.

I think, no buttons can be triggered by datafields, but what about the other types of IQ tools (widget, app, watchface)?

Is it possible to react for keys 'Up' and 'Down', what about 'Light' and 'Menu'? And how this can be done? :rolleyes:

I recommend checking out the Picker sample app for key press detection.

Check out the "Input" Sample in the SDK.

Widgets are a bit tricky in that not all things are available in the main view - back for example will take you to the watchface, and up/down will move you through the widget loop. There is no key input to watchfaces and data fields.

In a widget, "back" must be implemented if you push a new view, so that's one way to detect the back button in a widget. This may be completely impractical for your use case, though. :)

Is it possible to keep a count of the pressed buttons and a running timer. I want to make an app similar to cps counter using which you can count how many time the button is pressed and calculated the speed along with the timer.
