Sunrise/sunset times available in SDK 2.3.1 ?

Hi,

I saw a comment by someone in this forum regarding the suntimes. Does the newest SDK enable it (yet) to retrieve the sunrise/set time without calculating it ?
Or was I just dreaming this that you devs would facilitate us using that to simplify and lessen the memory use on a watch face ?
I didn't find any command in the API docs

I think you were dreaming. ;)

It would be nice if CIQ could get the sunrise/sunset times from the watch but there is no way to do this today. These will need to be calculated by each watch face based on the GPS location. The discussions you are probably thinking of are related to sun times are probably related getting the GPS location, which can be a little tricky on some watches, namely the fenix 5X. Jim wrote a good article on the best way to obtain and display sunrise/sunset.

The key is once a watchfaces has a lat/lon, to save it away in the Object store for times it's not available. (with the f5x, you need the trick above, but on other watches, Activity.Info.currentLocation can go stale after some time, so it's something needed for all devices)
