drawText with filling effect (like NoFrills and Liquids)

Hi Guys,
i'm looking into creating my first WatchFace and willing to use the "filling" effect Hour digits.

Anyone can share how to do it?

I'm reading this, but there's no pattern or image support:

As the author of NoFrills, it really warms my heart to see that developers take inspiration from NoFrills and my blog post!

I haven't had time to check out the code, but will do so tonight and share some ideas and tips!

I'm the author of Liquids, which has been inspired by NoFrills. Thanks again for the "water level" idea which is growing popular these days ! (as well as the sample code which helped me a lot)
