Seeting property value reset when updating up

How do I prevent the value of a settings property from being reset when the user updates an app to the latest version?

If you use Garmin Express to update an app, these things are preserved. The way I understand it is that with GCM iOS, it kind of does a delete and new upload in the background, and the delete also removes your .set and .str files.

Hi Jim,

Do you know if this is still an issue with GCM iOS? Or did Garmin fix this in the meantime, so that GCM iOS and Garmin Express work the same way (not deleting settings and storage)?

Also, has this ever been an issue with GCM Android? Or only with GCM iOS?

I use Android, so no idea about iOS. But I think this was fixed there a while back. I can't recall the last time I heard from a user about it.
