Editing an IQ Session Activity error

Through the contact developer linl, I'm noticing that watch owners with SDK 2.x.x are unable to edit a saved activity session (sport=>Recording.SPORT_FITNESS_EQUIPMENT,:subSport=>Recording.SUB_SPORT_ELLIPTICAL).
However, watch owners of SDK version 1.4 or lower are able to edit the IQ app session with no issues.

As a note, the session create, start and stop source code are shared among all watch types.

I'm not sure if this issue has been previously posted, I searched but could not find anything.
  • Thanks--we'll look into this. I'm not sure what could be causing this because CIQ treats all sport/sub-sports the same (from a CIQ perspective, they're just labels), but I know some devices will trigger special recording modes based on the sport type.

Based on the device reports you've received, is there any discernible device type on which this problem occurs?

Typically the VAHR. The normal user response is the user completes the activity and later try's to edit the activity in either Connect App or Connect web site. The user receives an "cannot edit error".
  • It appears to be any device with an SDK of 2.x.x. They can edit on the connect website but no in the connect app.
  • Is this something that uses FitContributer data, or is it just the normal fit recording?

I seem to recall someone saying they had a problem editing an activity that had FC data.
  • Yes, im using fit contrib.
Editing an IQ v1.4/1.3 activity is ok and IQ 2.x.x is not allowing post activity edits on connect app and connect web site.
Howerver, this morning i did have a user comment with the 735xt, which the user could not use the connect app but the web site allowed an activity edit.
Bug fix on the web site? Maybe.
