Unable to serialize app data ???

Hi,
my app is working with settings and properties
On the Watch, it crashes when I modifie the settings on the phone, and I cannot restart it
On the simulator, when I run the setting editor, everything seem to be OK, but I have this message on the console. The app is going on very well, but all my properties are null (I'm reading them after update)
And on the simulator, when I quit the app, I have this message too
I've tried to see, but nothing to do
Some one could help me ?

The only time I've seen this error has been on a real devices, when the firmware had a problem writing the Object Store (I've not seen it with properties though)

But you're seeing it in the sim, with properties. I'll take a guess and something is wrong with what is being written for the properties (the null for each kind of says that to me too)

How much are you trying to store with your properties, and what is their type? (maybe post the <properties> section of your project) You have a max of about 8k, IIRC, and if you try to use settings for more than that, I could see this happening....

Maybe not only properties, but settings too - what can you set for each property...

Oh, my app is crashing even with not doing anything with the settings
It start correctly, it can run, it can exit
but when restarting, it crash
I think something's wrong when writing the properties, I will watch on this

Ok, so writing properties from within the apps could be an issue. So, the same question - what are you writing from your app? size/type/etc?

Hi,
Sorry for the delay of response, but I had a break
I have a file "properties.xml" wich is 5Ko with 65 values : 62 strings, 2 boolean and 1 number
I also have a resources.xml file wich contain one font, 1Ko
and a string.xml wich is 2Ko
and 2 resources files for langages which are each one 2Ko

I don't know which files I have to limit at 8K ?

It's actually what you are storing based on what's in your properties.xml. 62 strings and a few smaller things.

How big are each of those strings? (just an estimate) If each is 100 characters, that's 6200 bytes not counting any overhead (which would include the keys you use themselves)

Each string is about 35 char, and it seem to be the size.
When I reach about 55 string, the message appear

Ok, so it sounds like you have to reduce the number of strings, and/or limit the size of the strings, as you're running out of space.

I had this error in the simu.

I though it was a memory pb, until i change this line :

Application.getApp().setProperty("OSSTOCKS["+ idStock+nextStock +"]",StocksArray[idStock]);

to this one

Application.getApp().setProperty("OSSTOCKS["+ (idStock+nextStock) +"]",StocksArray[idStock]);

Note: just the ( ..) in order to my 2 integer vars to be added instead of concat (!!!)

And no more serializing data error.
