Rating from removed reviews not removed

If a review from a store app is removed, I would expect that also the rating that came with the review to be removed. Why is this not the case?

Example:
I have a data field (Records for current activity). It got a review from a user stating that it crashed. It turned out that this was a problem with his watch and not with the data field and he asked for his review to be removed. It was indeed removed, but my data field still has a 1 star rating.
  • I agree that a the effect of the star rating from a review should be reversed when the review is removed. I'll contact the store development team and see what I can find out about this. Thanks for alerting me to the issue!
  • I have an update on this. The store development team is aware of this issue, and has already fixed it on our test servers. There should be an update to the live store soon that will address this problem (I don't have an exact date, but I would assume that the update will be sometime in the next week).
  • The app store has been updated with the fix I mentioned last week. Star ratings should properly update when flagged reviews are removed. I checked the Record Current Activity app that you were concerned with originally, and it now sports a five star rating based on the current review. :)
