Fenix 3 default watchface

As I have understand it.. the default analog watch face on the F3 is a special watchface that runs on an own chip (to reduce battery as much as possible).
So the code for that one is not Connect IQ code.. at all...

Download the SDK and check the subfolder /samples/
In Eclipse you can add these to your Workspace by using the import function found in the File menu.

Why does the default watch face shows no Batterie oder Bluetooth. I like the default but no batterie that sucks.

Any ideas? in the Store there ist no watch faces who looks like the default.

What font is used for the default digital face on the Fenix 3?

It seems similar to Steelfish, but I'm not sure exactly - it's very tall. I want to use the same font for my custom face I'm building, but only slightly smaller to allow additional content (steps, and other data fields in arc-based format around the outer face instead of the seconds ticks of the default face.

You can use the number fonts, which will match the font from the default watch face (it is Steelfish, like you said). The constants are defined in the Graphics module, delightfully named FONT_NUMBER_MILD, FONT_NUMBER_MEDIUM, FONT_NUMBER_HOT, and FONT_NUMBER_THAI_HOT. Here are examples of the sizes:

Thanks, I ended up using the THAI HOT for now, it's working just fine (albeit with some strange kerning for numbers like "31").

But orginal clock hands are smoothier than in this wf....

The built-in watch faces on the fenix 3 are not Connect IQ apps. They're part of the firmware, are highly optimized to conserve battery power, and are able to take advantage of some anti-aliasing that makes them look smoother than what we're able to currently do in Connect IQ. So, it's not that we have these amazing Connect IQ apps that we're keeping secret from everyone. :)
