I've always set my typecheck to 0. But there are so many advantages to activating typecheck = 3 (strict). Just a royal pain to go fix all the errors in the source to support that.
So I asked Claude to do it. I pointed it to my VSC source. BOOM. In just a couple minutes it completely updated all my source files (and the barrel it uses). It compiled perfectly with zero issues under strict.
While I was in there I asked it to check for unused variables, dead code, and globals it could move into classes, modules or functions. BOOM. Done.
And while you're at it, go ahead an add comment blocks for each function and each significant block of code. SWEET.
Oh, and write up a concise Users Guide. YAY
