just posting this to help the next person but I was working with the alphaHRV datafield developer to figure out why it wasn't working on my FenixE unlike previous Fenix6 + Fenix7
and apparently a workaround turned out to be setting the datafield to use BLE instead of ANT+
the HRM-Pro-Plus will only record running dynamics when paired in ANT+ mode so that's how it is attached to the watch and I didn't want to set it to BLE and lose that
and I knew/assumed HRM-Pro can do dual connect to ANT+ and BLE devices simultaneously since I can see it pair to my tablet while still connected to the watch
but I assumed ANT+ vs BLE had to be two different devices
apparently both connections can be to the FenixE/8 at the same time
other than the open connection accept message, there is no indication that both radios are live during the activity
oh and of course Garmin doesn't put any indicator if the open connection is ANT+ or BLE, I mean that would make sense and be helpful so not going to happen
btw how many more CIQ versions will it take before Garmin allows datafields to inject additional summary stats into the "ALL STATS" display?
