Hardware comparison information

Hi,

Is there a resource anywhere that lists the each device and its characteristics? Stuff like the different resolutions that the resource compiler recognises, and which devices support which behaviours (or do they all support MENU, START, BACK, NEXT, PREV, ... in one way or another)?

Check out Appendix A of the UX Guide in the SDK.

Some things you can see (memory, etc) by just looking at the target in the sim, or looking in devices.xml in the SDK (it where the sim gets it's info, based on device/app type)

The UX Guide does give much more detailed info if you look at the other Appendixes. Appendix B describes the fonts on each devices, what characters are in FONT_NUMBER_* fonts, etc. Appendix C is about data fields, etc.

Also, if you look at the description of Petr's Tree Benchmark, you can see info on the performace of different devices with Connect IQ. Some are about 14 times faster than others, for example!

That's great info - thanks again.

However, I now have the dubious honour of discovering that I own the SLOWEST Connect IQ device on the market! ;-)
Better for testing though!
