Stocks and shares widget/app

Am I completely imagining this?

During the flurry of activity around the announcement of Connect IQ, the vivoactive and the fenix 3 I seem to remember a screen shot or image of a widget displaying stocks/shares price increases/decreases. Was this just a concept image or an actual app in development?

All I can find on a google search is this little pic that appears to have been taken from the Vivo active or forerunner model:

I don't recall it, but it would be easy enough to implement given a web service that provided the requested data.

Well, using the JSON web calls, you should be able to retrieve the data. I imagine you can have the app read a file with the stocks you want, and have it pull based on that..

You wouldn't need to read a file. ConnectIQ provides an API for reading and writing settings. You'd just have to provide some way for the user to enter the stocks that they're interested in so that you could look them up.

There is no convenient way to input tickers (text) on the watch so a companion app on a phone would be better to maintain the stocks of interest. YahooFinance have endpoints reachable by JSON Http requests, I'm sure there are other free data providers too.

I've been thinking of making a demo for this. May just sit down and code it
