App with Selectables and timer hardly reacting when executed on Vivoactive HR

I have implemented an app skeleton for bookkeeping of table hockey or football game scores. The app is designated for Vivoactive HR and I am able to run a development prototype on the simulator, but when I install the app to the watch, the UI is hardly responsive (the timer does not seem to run, and the buttons placed to the display are hardly responding (after clicking furiously them, I might get a response).

Environment:
  • Mac OS X 10.12.2
  • Eclipse Neon.2 Release (4.6.2), Build id: 20161208-0600
  • Vivoactive HR with the newest Software

Steps to reproduce:
  • Build the app for the device
  • Copy the app to the device
  • Detach watch from the development computer and start the app on the watch

Expected behaviour: The timer starts and the buttons change the player's scores on the display (the app works as on the device like in the simulator).

The project files are sent per E-Mail.

    Hello,

I wanted to let you know that we have been working on this issue. We are able to reproduce, but are struggling to find any root cause. We are currently backlogged on some of the issues that are not affecting large amounts of developers and this one has been pushed down the list a little. We hope to pick it up again shortly.

    Thank you for your patience,
    -Coleman

Thanks a lot for the status update! I'm happy to hear that the issue is still on your backlog. No hurry; as developer I know also personally how it is every now and then with software projects...
  • Thank you for sharing your progress on the bookkeeping app for table hockey or football game scores. It's great to hear that you have implemented an app skeleton.

Regarding the responsiveness issues you mentioned when installing the app on the Vivoactive HR, it could be related to compatibility or performance issues specific to the device. I recommend looking into any device-specific limitations or requirements for running apps smoothly on the Vivoactive HR.

Additionally, ensure that the app is properly optimized for the watch's hardware capabilities to improve responsiveness. You might consider reviewing your code and implementing any necessary optimizations or improvements.

If you encounter any specific error messages or logs related to the UI responsiveness, please provide them so that we can assist you further in troubleshooting the issue.

Thank you for sharing the environment details, steps to reproduce, and the project files via email. We will review them thoroughly and get back to you with any further suggestions or solutions.
