Is it possible to let some users for Free in payment watchfaces?

Hi all!

After uploading a watchface, that I have developed, as free in the Garming Connect IQ Store and receiving good reviews, I decided to change it from free to payment required, and it seems when I do that all the users that were using this watchface need to pay to continue using it, I would not like to force this user to pay after giving a review, you know if that's possible to gift it in some way?

Don't have any personal experience with this, but I think you can request a discount code.

Best of luck, it seems getting responses from them is very hit or miss.

One use case for this is for devs to download their own app.

I have seen one or two forum posts where devs mentioned it took a while to get a response tho.

I assume you're talking about using Garmin's Connect IQ Merchant Account system, not third-party payments. Your app will get a banner on it saying that it's now a paid app (the banner disappears after some months, seemingly). I'd agree with flowstate that the gift vouchers are the first option. Failing that, if your target price is higher than the $1.99, you might just set it to that minimum for a period and try to notify favoured users about the discounted price.
