i have gotten this error now on all my previous working projects.

It looks like you have properties, settings, and associated strings defined right in the manifest file. I didn't even know that was possible. Does that even work? According to the error message you posted…

Is it just the forum, you really have:

xmlns:iq=""

(it's empty between the double quotes)?

It looks like you have properties, settings, and associated strings defined right in the manifest file. I didn't even know that was possible. Does that even work? According to the error message you posted, that's not (or is no longer) a valid part of manifest.xml.

Invalid content was found starting with element '{...:properties}'.

The fix here is probably to remove the "<iq:properties>" block and move the properties/settings/strings to separate resource xml files.

e.g.

   <property id="heartSafeMode" type="boolean">false</property>
   ...
</properties>
<!-- settings.xml -->
<settings>
   <setting propertyKey="@Properties.heartSafeMode" title="@Strings.heartSafeMode">

Btw, not to state what might be obvious by now, but if you're going to paste code which has urls in it, it's better to use Insert > Code as the forum shortens/mangles urls by default.

I double checked my git to my local and you are correct..

Somehow my 3 open projects in visual studio have all been corrupted and global settings been moved from settings.xml to manifest. Manifest declares app-level properties only.

i had failed to declare project in open workspace seems most likely...
