Fenix 8 PRO - no gps fix

I have a user with a Fenix 8 PRO reporting that my app (and other CIQ apps) is always 'Stuck' waiting for a gps fix. I have updated to the latest SDK with no luck. I have reviewed the settings on the watch like default GNSS mode and 'smart' logging is not enabled.

Has anyone come across this kind of issue with the Fenix 8 PRO?

  • With the latest devices ab device apps, when you enable GPS you can specify the GPS configuration to use.  What are you using?

    My app has a selector for users to choose any configuration. None of the options work on Fenix 8 Pro.

  • Hello, I have the Garmin Kite Woo + GPS app on my Garmin Fenix 8 Pro, which is paired with my Woo 3.0 sensor. For the past few weeks, l've had no problem finding the Woo sensor, but I can't find the GPS. I've uninstalled the app and reset my watch, but nothing has worked. It still doesn't work. There are no GPS problems with the watch's native apps.

    Looks like all 3rd party apps are affected by this firmware issue that is specific to Fenix 8 Pro (read other messages here). Garmin didn't offer any solution for it yet.
